The Battle of Concord and Lexington
The Battle of Concord and Lexington is quite an interesting event in the Revolutionary War. It was April 19, 1775. Boston, Massachusetts . British troops were sent to Concord to confiscate colonial weapons. At the break of dawn the British troops marched toward Concord. But the Colonist were not surprised to see them. Spy's like Paul Revere were up at night riding horses around the British troops. So the Colonist were ready for the British. Both troops aligned on the green meadow. No one knows who shot first but when the gun fires went off the British started to shoot rapidly. The British did find what they came for. They found very large cannons and destroyed them. The Colonist kept fighting and the British soon retreated back towards Boston.
